J. Traxler, N. da Silva Burger, M. Augustin, H. Ott, S. Hoffmann, R. Fölster-Holst, M. Baumeister, P. Staubach, R. Sommer

Skin diseases can greatly impair quality of life (QoL) of pediatric patients and their families. This study aimed to psychometrically validate the German version of the InToDermQoL.

Psoriatic disease (PsO) involving the genital region (GenPsO) or areas of sexual interest (ASI; anal region, gluteal area, groin, lower back, and chest/breast) is associated with impaired quality of life (QoL), sexual burden, and avoidance of sexual life. This nested cohort study investigated the prevalence and effect of GenPsO and PsO at any ASI in routine German care.

Only a few studies exist on the psychosocial impact of vitiligo in German patients, in particular those affected in genital and visible body areas. F. Abeck, I. Heinen, I. Heidrich, J. Kött, R. Sommer, C. Blome, M. Härter, M. Augustin, S. W Schneider, I. Hansen-Abeck, N. Booken

Limited representation of diverse skin types in dermatology training hinders physicians' ability to diagnose and treat patients with skin of color (SoC), thus contributing to health disparities. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a mandatory seminar in improving medical students' ability to correctly identify skin conditions in SoC, as measured by objective tests.
